Following twenty years
of experience in the financial services and
communications industries respectively, we
founded Defineum, bringing to life our
mission of creating a powerful resource for
helping people take a more proactive
approach to career fulfillment.
We believe career
success starts with career fulfillment.
The more you enjoy and feel connected to
what you’re doing, the more likely you’ll be
to excel. Through our own varied
career journeys, we’ve found a profound
sense of personal fulfillment and a level of
professional success that we always dreamed
was possible. We experimented, took
risks, and made bold transitions when things
weren’t working. We reshaped our
roles, left lucrative jobs, took chances in
new industries, and became successful
entrepreneurs, all of which took great
courage and commitment. We constantly strove
to identify our best possible professional
path and didn’t settle until we found it.
And we accomplished all of this in the midst
of busy lives, building strong marriages and
thriving young families along the way.
It struck us how much
effort and focus it took to create a truly
fulfilling career and how easy it was to
settle for mediocrity. During the
process we sought a trusted advisor who
could help us define and maneuver along our
career path more successfully. As it
was, we often floundered, trying to cobble
together a mish-mash of resources – trusted
friends and family, books, workshops,
therapists, trips around the world – to
figure out what we wanted to be when we grew
up. We both felt we were lacking a
clear approach, a process for answering the
questions “Who am I?” “What difference do I
want to make in the world?” and “How do I
want to shape my career moving forward?”
So we came together to
create what we hadn’t found on our own
career journey: an intelligent sounding
board who understood our language and could
relate to our experience and a clear process
to follow for custom-designing an immensely
rich and rewarding career. In short,
we created Defineum -- a central go-to
resource that helps accomplished
professionals navigate their career in the
most deliberate and strategic way possible.
We are lifelong students

development, former corporate executives and
two-time successful entrepreneurs, and we
