Dana is a co-founder of Defineum
and leads high-impact executive coaching programs
for individuals and groups. Prior to founding
Defineum, Dana worked for twenty years as a
communication consultant and is an expert in
professional branding. She helped launch Kayak.com
as Vice President, Communications and was the
Communications Director for the Trickle Up Program,
a microfinance organization working to alleviate
poverty through microenterprise development. Prior
to that, Dana worked as Senior Vice President at
Robinson Lerer & Montgomery and previously served as
Managing Director for the Gable Group in Los
Angeles. Dana’s clients included Nintendo of
America, Disney, Sprint PCS, RealNetworks, Yamaha,
and Hewlett Packard, among others. Dana left public
relations to become an entrepreneur with a focus on
helping professionals enhance their success by using
their image as a tool for communication. She became
a certified image consultant and built a successful
jewelry company.
Dana has extensive personal
development training from Landmark Education,
Touchstone Communication, the Creativity and
Personal Mastery Institute and The School of
Practical Philosophy. She is also a graduate of the
Ackerman Institute for the Family’s Foundations in
Family Therapy program. Dana serves on the Corporate
Advisory Board of ALPFA, an organization dedicated
to providing leadership development opportunities
for Latino professionals. A cum laude graduate, Dana
received a bachelor’s degree in English from Arizona
State University in 1989 and has also studied at the
University of Maryland, University of London, the
Fashion Institute of Technology and the Image
Institute of New York. Dana lives in Larchmont with
her husband, young daughter and occasionally her
step-daughter (visiting from college).
