Carol is a co-founder of Defineum and leads
high-impact executive coaching programs for
individuals and groups. Prior to founding Defineum,
Carol had a successful twenty-year career in the
investment management and strategic consulting
industries. Most recently, Carol was a founding
partner of Jamesbeck Global Partners, a leading
executive search firm specializing in recruiting
senior executives in the investment industry. Prior
to five years at Jamesbeck, Carol spent an
additional five years at Highland Search Group, a
boutique executive search firm, where she was a
partner in the investment management practice. Prior
to Highland, Carol spent five years as a strategic
consultant to the investment management industry,
both at BARRA/RogersCasey and Cowen Asset
Management. Her earlier career experience includes
investment banking at Kidder, Peabody and management
consulting at Accenture.
A magna cum laude graduate, Carol received a
bachelor’s degree in Finance and International
Management from Georgetown University in 1990 and
was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst
designation in 1998. She is a former Board member of
the Ackerman Institute and a graduate of the
Institute’s Foundations in Family Therapy
program. She is also a graduate of the Foundations
in Positive Psychology course at the University of
Pennsylvania and of the Creativity and Personal
Mastery Institute. Carol lives in Battery Park City
with her husband and two young daughters.
